Our Story

At All Valley DJ Services, I started with the goal of providing the best products and services to our customers at an affordable price in the Kansas City area, especially the northland and its surrounding areas, however I'm willing to discuss travel, and some of the best events have been hours from Kansas City.

But affordable shouldn't mean lacking in quality.

My goal is to make your wedding, corporate, school, promotional event, or party one that is memorable and fun, using quality sound components, elegant lighting, and experienced DJs.

AVDJ is licensed and insured.

Finally, I admittedly haven't been as diligent about gathering reviews, but am working to continue to post them as I get them.

Pricing

Because events vary based on location, amount and type of equipment and lighting needed or requested, length of event, etc., a consultation will help me understand what you need without trying to oversell or upsell you on things you don't need. Additionally, travel (within a 100 miles from homebase), setup and teardown are all included in the price and aren't part of the time reserved. As such, it's best to contact me for a free consult, estimate and to discuss the specifics of your event.

Parties / Corporate Events / Sporting Events / Fundraisers

Events that simply require a DJ / Sound / Lighting to create the perfect atmosphere to celebrate that birthday, graduation, corporate event, grand opening, etc., are much cheaper as the preparation and sequence of events, generally, is pretty straight forward. Pricing is for a four (4) hour minimum with the option to add on hours at a reduced rate, if needed.

Weddings

Begin your journey with a free, no-pressure wedding entertainment consultation. My focus will be on exploring your wedding vision, musical tastes, and individual style. Together, we'll design a personalized entertainment package that matches your vision and budget.

Once you decide I am the correct fit for your special day, we'll meet to discuss the contract, deposit and preliminary planning. At this time, I'll provide you a copy of our AVDJ Itinerary Planning Form so that you may begin the process of the timeline. I also provide the option of my touring the wedding reception venue with you, when possible, to look at the logistics of the dance floor as it relates to the setup and take notes for uplighting placement, all at no extra charge.

As your wedding day approaches, I'll meet with you to discuss the finer details of your celebration to craft a personalized entertainment plan that reflects your special day. We'll discuss music choices and special moments along with any interactive activities and guest engagement strategies so that we may finalize every detail of your entertainment experience. By the end of the meeting, you will have a concrete plan leaving you feeling confident and excited for your wedding celebration!

What is the mission of All Valley DJ Services?

My mission at All Valley DJ Services is to provide high-quality services that make my event hosts' lives easier and more efficient while providing a fun and memorable experience.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, not only am I registered with the State of Missouri as an LLC, but I am licensed through the City of Kansas City, Missouri and fully insured.

Do you provide a contract?

Yes. Because I wish to protect all parties involved in booking me for their event, I use a standard contract to cover things like cancellations, acts of God, etc., and that information is available upfront and fully transparent. I want you to be assured you're getting someone reliable and knowledgeable for your event.

Should I tip you / will you ask for tips, i.e., tip jar?

I've always said tipping is completely optional. I've had events that I haven't been tipped and I've had events where I've been tipped graciously and I've appreciated each one equally.

As far as tip jars, no, absolutely not. The opportunity to be trusted with your event is what I appreciate most and many times my best "tip" is someone else referring me or being booked for an event where their friend or family attended or the customer simply providing a positive review.

We're planning our own wedding. Any suggestions?

Yes! Many years ago I created a blank wedding itinerary for couples based on past experience and questions I would receive from the bride and groom. This itinerary is a few pages that cover the timeline of the event and provides questions and information you may or may not have thought about along the way. I know you have a lot going on in the planning of your special day and trying to make it as simple and easy as possible is part of the mission.

If you choose to book me, from that moment, I'm open to any questions you may have and will be available to you from the beginning through the day of your event. Additionally, we will sit down and have a consultation either in person or via your choice of media by which we will go through things step by step to make sure everything has been covered.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Starting from the base and working out, I use a MacBook Pro with M2 Max processor and 36gb of RAM. My workhorse is the Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 controller which sits on my Pro-X DJ Control Tower. All of my speakers are QSC brand and I use K12.2's (tops) and KW181's (subs). I prefer Hosa cables, a power conditioner and a Furman SS-6B-PRO 6-outlet Pro Surge Suppressor Strip with EVS for added protection.

For a microphone, I rely on my Shure SLXD24/B58 wireless system. Shure is as reliable as they come in terms of sound quality and durability.

When it comes to lighting, I have several options starting with 12 Ape Labs Maxis running through the Ape Labs Connect that allows me to uplight a room in essentially any color, have them create a gorgeous lightshow to the beat of the music, or be turned completely off, all from my DJ booth. I also have additional derbies, lasers, etc., depending on the event.

When applicable, I use a ADJ Haze Generator to give the event space that extra ambiance and allow lights to be seen as they were designed, with the full beam visible versus just seeing two points (beginning and end) of the light. Unlike fog, haze is oil based and creates a very fine mist with no smell and is barely noticeable. I describe it as like waking up in the morning to the fresh mist outside that allows you to see the sunbeams through the clouds. Sounds great, right?
